Krishanu Karmakar holds a PhD in Public Policy from the Department of Public Management and Policy, Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University and the Ivan Allen College, Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interest covers change and dynamics of public policy, tax and government expenditure policies, and fiscal federalism. His research has been published both internationally and in India in the Economic and Political Weekly. His teaching interests include quantitative research methods, Public Economics and Finance, theories of policy process, and philosophical and epistemological issues of Economics and other social sciences. Prior to joining JSGP, he had been a faculty member at the Department of Managerial Sciences, J. Mack Robinson College of Business of Georgia State University. Krishanu has also worked at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi.
