Manini is an Assistant Professor in Jindal School of Government and Public Policy of O.P. Jindal Global University. Her areas of research interest lie in the fields of Development Economics, Labour Economics, Economics of Gender, Education and Applied Microeconometrics. Her current research focuses more specifically on how government policy affects household and individual behavior with a special interest in gender and child outcomes. Her other work is on education and violence issues as well as gender gaps in education choices.
Prior to joining Southern Methodist University, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University.
