Sonal Dua is an Assistant Professor at Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP), O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). She is a submitted Ph.D. scholar at Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. She received M.A. degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She was awarded with Centre for Development Economics (CDE) fellowship from CDE, DSE; Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) fellowship from ICSSR; and Junior Research Fellowship from UGC during her Ph.D.. Her research areas of interest lie in industrial economics, mergers and acquisitions, and sharing economy. Currently, she is working on the regulatory challenges that are emerging from Indian digital platforms for the competition authorities.
Previously, she has taught various subjects – Microeconomics, Mathematics, Indian economy, Banking at several colleges of University of Delhi which include Hansraj College, S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, Lakshmibai College and S.P.M. College. She has been a Research Associate on the project entitled ‘Macroeconometric Modelling for India’ at Delhi School of Economics. She has been a member of Indian delegation in first BRICS Youth Summit held in Russia in 2015.
