Mehreen Mookerjee is an Assistant Professor in Jindal School of Government and Public Policy of O.P. Jindal Global University. She completed her PhD. in Economics from Cornell University in 2017. Her primary research interests lie in the fields of Environmental Economics and Development Economics. Within the field of Environmental Economics, she has a special interest in issues pertaining to changing climate patterns, and empirically evaluating the effects of such changing patterns of rainfall and temperature on ambient concentrations of harmful air pollutants forms the substantive core of her doctoral work. Apart from research, she enjoys teaching and is excited to have that as a part of her career. Prior to joining Cornell, Mehreen has also completed a B.A. (Hons) in Economics from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, her hometown; followed by an M.S. in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi.
